Notes: As Anna was heading off to Queenstown in the afternoon, we decided to revisit the Lamb Chop Walk...and had such a great time inspecting the changes since our last walk. Elizabeth was recovering from a lurgy acquired in Wanaka, and the rest of us were in no hurry, so we stopped and enjoyed the things we saw rather than marching on past them! 'Stopping and smelling the 'silage', if you like. There were lots more tender little lambs, including some completely black ones. Too cute, especially the one nibbling gently on its mother's ear. We loved the naughty pair who charged around annoying and head-butting each other...just like the old days at home. There was also a bull of frighteningly epic proportions, and pheasant, and some hungry Pavlovian cows who gave new meaning to the grass being greener...on the back of the tractor. Having reached the summit, we were quite impressed to find a tablecloth laid and lunch, very fresh, cavorting thereon:
The Fairy Circle is still looking wintry. At the end of September 2013 it was in full bloom, so perhaps a slow year for the cherries. The magnolias are fantastic though. We met Rosemary for coffee at Meadow, to celebrate the end of the 'Dress Saga', the applicant having failed to show up to court. We were surprised and delighted to discover another of Brian's many talents in this article while waiting for our coffees (it has since been changed, but you can imagine...)
Brilliant, lamb serving itself up. That's how it should be.
